SUMMARY:ALBANY TRIO | Violín\, Violoncello y Piano
DESCRIPTION:El Trío Albany es un conjunto británico diverso e innovador cuyo repertorio se centra principalmente en obras de compositoras\, tanto actuales como históricas. \nFundado en 2010\, el Trío dio su primer concierto a la hora del almuerzo en la BBC Radio 3\, en directo\, en el Día Internacional de la Mujer\, y más recientemente actuó en “In Tune” en marzo de 2020. El conjunto fue seleccionado como Park Lane Group Young Artists y también son miembros de la Concordia Foundation. En 2014\, el trío recibió la beca Richard Carne Junior en el Royal College of Music\, donde comisariaron el festival inaugural Women in Music\, cuyas entradas se agotaron y aparecieron en The Telegraph. \nEl trío recibió el premio Gwyneth George de la Sociedad de Tríos de Piano y fue finalista del concurso internacional de música de cámara St-Martin-in-the-Fields. El trío\, versátil y de amplio espectro\, es un experimentado animador de talleres\, como representante de Live Music Now y Chamber Music 2000. El conjunto ha recibido becas para asistir al Seminario Internacional de Músicos de Prussia Cove\, Pro Corda y la Escuela Internacional de Verano de Dartington\, además de estudiar nuevas obras durante una residencia de invierno en el Centro Banff de Canadá.  \nComprometidas con la difusión de obras de compositoras a nuevos públicos\, Albany colabora regularmente con compositores contemporáneos. Encargaron su cuarto trío\, una nueva obra titulada The Orchid and its Hunters (La orquídea y sus cazadores) de Judith Bingham\, que se estrenó en directo en BBC Radio 3. Su estreno más reciente ha sido el trío para piano “El arte de las cicatrices preciosas”\, de Emma-Ruth Richard\, que se interpretó en el Stoller Hall. Anteriormente han estrenado obras de Charlotte Bray\, Judith Weir y Josephine Stephenson\, y tienen previstos más encargos en el futuro

SUMMARY:ALBANY TRIO | Violin\, Cello and Piano
DESCRIPTION:The Albany Trio is a diverse and innovative British ensemble whose repertoire focuses primarily on works by women composers\, both current and historical. \nFounded in 2010\, the Trio gave their first lunchtime concert on BBC Radio 3 live on International Women’s Day\, and more recently performed on In Tune in March 2020. The ensemble was selected as Park Lane Group Young Artists and are also members of the Concordia Foundation. In 2014\, the trio was awarded the Richard Carne Junior Fellowship at the Royal College of Music\, where they curated the inaugural Women in Music festival\, which sold out and was featured in The Telegraph. \nThe trio was awarded the Gwyneth George Prize by the Piano Trio Society and was a finalist in the St-Martin-in-the-Fields International Chamber Music Competition. Versatile and wide-ranging\, the trio is an experienced workshop animator\, representing Live Music Now and Chamber Music 2000. The ensemble has received scholarships to attend the Prussia Cove International Musicians’ Seminar\, Pro Corda and the Dartington International Summer School\, as well as studying new works during a winter residency at the Banff Centre in Canada. \nCommitted to bringing works by women composers to new audiences\, Albany regularly collaborates with contemporary composers. They commissioned their fourth trio\, a new work entitled The Orchid and its Hunters by Judith Bingham\, which was premiered live on BBC Radio 3. Their most recent premiere was the piano trio The Art of Precious Scars by Emma-Ruth Richard\, which was performed at Stoller Hall. They have previously premiered works by Charlotte Bray\, Judith Weir and Josephine Stephenson\, with more commissions planned for the future.
