DESCRIPTION:Tickets \nEl próximo 19 de septiembre de 2026\, a las 19:00 horas\, el Teatro Municipal de Tías acogerá una de las grandes joyas del repertorio lírico español: La verbena de la Paloma\, dentro de la programación de Festival de Ópera Lanzarote 2026. \nLa representación estará a cargo de la Compañía de Zarzuela del Atlántico\, con dirección escénica de Leopoldo Falcón y dirección orquestal y artística de Isabel Costes\, en una nueva cita que reafirma la continuidad del Festival de Ópera de Lanzarote y su apuesta por acercar al público propuestas líricas de calidad\, en vivo y con una cuidada puesta en escena. \nLa verbena de la Paloma\, con música de Tomás Bretón y libreto de Ricardo de la Vega\, es una de las obras más emblemáticas del género chico y una pieza fundamental de la zarzuela española. Estrenada a finales del siglo XIX\, la obra conserva intacta su capacidad para conectar con el público gracias a la viveza de sus personajes\, la inteligencia de sus diálogos y una música que forma parte de la memoria cultural compartida. \nAmbientada en el Madrid popular de las verbenas\, la obra reúne celos\, humor\, deseo\, vida de barrio y una galería de personajes inolvidables. Pero bajo su apariencia ligera late algo más profundo: el retrato de una sociedad\, de sus códigos afectivos\, de sus tensiones cotidianas y de una forma de entender el teatro musical como espacio de encuentro entre la escena y la calle. \nSu llegada a Lanzarote supone una oportunidad para disfrutar de una zarzuela esencial\, interpretada por una compañía especializada en el género y vinculada a la proyección de la música española desde Canarias. La Compañía de Zarzuela del Atlántico\, junto a la dirección artística de Isabel Costes\, forma parte de un trabajo continuado de recuperación\, difusión y actualización del repertorio lírico español\, con especial atención a su valor escénico\, musical y patrimonial. \nCon esta representación\, la Fundación Nino Díaz continúa impulsando la  ópera en Lanzarote como un espacio estable para la lírica\, sumando una propuesta de gran valor cultural a la programación cultural con el patrocinio de Gobierno de Canarias\, Cabildo de Lanzarote y La Graciosa y Ayuntamiento de Tías.

La fuerza teatral de Turandot\, el magnetismo de Carmen\, la intensidad de Rigoletto y el carácter popular y refinado de la zarzuela española convivirán en un programa inspirado en títulos como La tabernera del puerto\, Luisa Fernanda\, Doña Francisquita o El barberillo de Lavapiés. \nPancho Corujo\, tenor nacido en Lanzarote y una de las voces líricas canarias con mayor proyección\, con una carrera que lo ha llevado a teatros como La Fenice de Venecia\, el Teatro Real de Madrid\, la Arena de Verona o el Teatro de la Zarzuela. \nRuth Terán\, soprano madrileña de sólida trayectoria en ópera y zarzuela\, ha desarrollado una carrera vinculada a escenarios nacionales e internacionales y a papeles de gran exigencia vocal y dramática.
