DESCRIPTION:El viernes 11 de septiembre comienza en Arrecife la quinta edición del Festival Tiempos Modernos\, con la proyección de Fausto (1926)\, obra cumbre del cine mudo dirigida por F. W. Murnau. La pianista Natalia Nikolaevaacompañará la película en directo\, creando un diálogo musical único con las imágenes. \nEn el año de su centenario\, Fausto regresa a la gran pantalla para inaugurar una nueva edición del festival organizado por la Fundación Nino Díaz. Será una oportunidad excepcional para redescubrir una de las películas más ambiciosas y visualmente poderosas de su director\, tal como fue concebida la experiencia cinematográfica en sus orígenes: con música interpretada en vivo y compartida con el público. \nUna lucha entre la luz y las sombras\nInspirada en la leyenda germánica y en las obras de Johann Wolfgang von Goethe y Christopher Marlowe\, la película presenta la historia del anciano sabio Fausto\, quien\, incapaz de salvar a su pueblo de la peste\, acepta el pacto que le ofrece Mefistófeles: juventud y poder a cambio de su alma. \nA partir de este conflicto\, Murnau construye un relato sobre la tentación\, el deseo\, la culpa y la redención. Su extraordinario trabajo con la luz\, las sombras\, los decorados y los efectos visuales convirtió Fausto en una de las grandes realizaciones de la cinematografía alemana de los años veinte. \nProtagonizada por Gösta Ekman como Fausto\, Emil Jannings como Mefistófeles y Camilla Horn como Gretchen\, la película fue producida por la UFA y estrenada en Berlín en 1926. La documentación especializada destaca especialmente la fuerza de sus imágenes y su capacidad para transformar el relato literario en una experiencia profundamente cinematográfica. DESCRIPTION:Dual Brass Dialogue llega a los Conciertos de Proximidad con una propuesta poco habitual y especialmente atractiva: un diálogo entre trombón y trompeta capaz de recorrer varios siglos de música desde una sonoridad brillante\, directa y cercana. \nEl dúo formado por Obed García y Yeray González presenta un programa para viento metal que transita desde el Barroco hasta el siglo XX\, con obras de Bach\, Corelli\, Telemann\, Mozart\, Dvořák\, Joseph Kosma\, Jack Gale\, Leonard Cohen y Astor Piazzolla. DESCRIPTION:La guitarra como una pequeña radio del mundo\nAntes de que existieran las listas de reproducción\, los algoritmos y los auriculares inalámbricos\, la radio ya hacía algo extraordinario: reunir músicas distintas en un mismo espacio. Una canción podía llevarnos al cine\, a un teatro de ópera\, a una plaza\, a una memoria familiar o a un lugar que nunca habíamos visitado. \nCon Días de radio\, el guitarrista Daniel Martínez Asenjo propone un concierto pensado como una travesía sonora: la guitarra se convierte en una pequeña radio del mundo\, capaz de sintonizar épocas\, estilos y emociones muy diferentes. En sus cuerdas aparecen Mozart\, The Beatles\, Chopin\, Edith Piaf\, Ariel Ramírez\, Rossini y otros paisajes musicales que cruzan la frontera entre lo clásico\, lo popular y lo íntimo. \nEl programa conecta repertorio tradicional y música de los siglos XX y XXI\, una línea muy presente en la trayectoria de Martínez Asenjo. Su trabajo artístico se caracteriza por el diálogo entre la tradición guitarrística y la creación actual\, con una actividad concertística que incluye estrenos\, recitales como solista y proyectos de cámara en festivales y ciclos especializados. \nEn esta cita de Conciertos de Proximidad\, la escucha se plantea desde la cercanía: un formato familiar\, accesible y educativo\, donde la música se comparte sin solemnidad innecesaria. La dirección narrativa y el guion estarán a cargo de José Carlos Campos\, aportando el hilo conductor que ayudará al público a entrar en el programa desde la curiosidad\, la imaginación y el disfrute. \nDaniel Martínez Asenjo se graduó con Premio de Honor en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid y completó su formación de máster en la HMDK Stuttgart. DESCRIPTION:Dos violines\, una conversación inesperada\nHay instrumentos que parecen hablar. Y hay conciertos en los que esa conversación se vuelve tan clara que casi podríamos seguirla como una pequeña historia: una pregunta\, una respuesta\, una discusión amable\, una broma\, una carrera\, una pausa y\, de pronto\, una emoción que aparece sin pedir permiso. \nEn esta nueva cita de Conciertos de Proximidad\, los violinistas Manuel Guillén y Lorenzo Triviño proponen un recorrido pensado para acercar al público al universo del dúo de violines: una formación aparentemente sencilla\, pero capaz de desplegar una enorme riqueza expresiva. Dos arcos\, ocho cuerdas y muchas posibilidades: canto\, ritmo\, virtuosismo\, juego\, contraste y complicidad. \nEl programa reúne tres miradas muy distintas sobre el violín. La elegancia barroca de Jean-Marie Leclair\, compositor y violinista francés del siglo XVIII; la creación contemporánea de Víctor Rebullida\, con una obra escrita para dos violines; y una aproximación al imaginario violinístico español a través de Sarasatiana\, de Pablo de Sarasate / José de la Vega. \nLa propuesta mantiene el carácter propio de Conciertos de Proximidad: un formato cercano\, familiar\, educativo y vivo\, en el que la música se escucha sin distancia y con una mediación pensada para todos los públicos. En esta ocasión\, José Carlos Campos estará a cargo de la dirección narrativa y el guion\, aportando el hilo conductor que permitirá descubrir el programa desde la curiosidad\, el humor y la escucha activa. \nManuel Guillén es una figura de referencia en la difusión de la música española para violín\, con más de cuatro décadas dedicadas a este repertorio y una intensa actividad como intérprete\, docente e investigador. Lorenzo Triviño\, violinista malagueño\, combina su labor concertística y académica con una trayectoria abierta a repertorios diversos\, desde la música clásica hasta el tango. DESCRIPTION:Entradas / Tickets \nAntes de que el cuerpo se mueva\, la música ya ha comenzado a bailar. A veces lo hace con un ritmo reconocible; otras\, con una insinuación\, un giro melódico\, una respiración\, una energía interna que empuja el sonido hacia el movimiento. \nEn esta nueva cita de Class_ik  Lanzarote\, el Deux Arts Dúo\, formado por Radovan Cavallin al clarinete y Jelena Očić al violonchelo\, propone un programa articulado en torno a la danza como impulso musical. No se trata solo de piezas “bailables”\, sino de músicas que dialogan con el gesto\, el pulso\, el carácter popular\, el humor\, la intensidad rítmica y la imaginación escénica. \nEl clarinete y el violonchelo construyen aquí una conversación de gran riqueza tímbrica. El primero aporta flexibilidad\, brillo\, agilidad y una voz capaz de pasar del canto al juego casi teatral. El segundo ofrece profundidad\, cuerpo\, lirismo y una presencia sonora que sostiene\, responde y transforma cada frase. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the concert of Proyecto Sur in Arrecife\nThe Nino Díaz Foundation\, in collaboration with Cultura Arrecife\, presents a new concert of the Arrecife de Mar y Música Cycle. We will be accompanied by the prestigious ensemble Proyecto Sur\, made up of the cellist Massimo Macrì\, the accordionist Davide Vendramin and the actress Eleonora Macrì Pedregal\, with a unique proposal that combines music\, poetry and video projections\, inviting us on a sensory journey through different sound and literary geographies. \nThe programme includes works by Marin Marais\, Isaac Albéniz\, Manuel de Falla\, Astor Piazzolla and Mauricio Kagel\, as well as the world premiere of Fade – out #13. Vivo en tu mirada by composer Nino Díaz. This experience is complemented by the reading of poems by authors such as Federico García Lorca\, Alejandra Pizarnik\, Jorge Luis Borges\, Silvina Ocampo and Josué Marcos Belmonte (Ioshua)\, generating a suggestive dialogue between word and image.\nMassimo Macrì\, considered one of the most relevant Italian cellists of his generation\, has been first violoncello in the RAI National Orchestra and has collaborated with ensembles such as the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra\, the Bayerisches Rundfunk in Munich and the Philharmonia della Scala. He has performed under the baton of conductors such as Bernstein\, Maazel\, Mehta and Chailly\, and has an extensive discography on labels such as Deutsche Grammophon\, Naxos and Brilliant Classics. He is also founder and artistic director of the Magliano Alfieri Classic Festival in Italy.\nDavide Vendramin is an accordionist and bandoneon player\, winner of prizes in international competitions and a regular at venues such as the Philharmonie in Berlin\, the Lucerne Festival and the Teatro alla Scala\, where he has worked with conductors such as Claudio Abbado and Riccardo Chailly. His recording activity includes recordings for Decca\, ECM and Da Vinci Classics\, and he is currently a professor at the Vicenza Conservatory (Italy).\nEleonora Macrì Pedregal\, Italian-Canarian actress\, combines her training in music and performing arts with her participation in film and theatre projects in Italy and Spain. Responsible for external relations at the Magliano Alfieri Classic Festival\, she brings to Proyecto Sur her interpretative sensitivity and her command of three languages (Spanish\, Italian and English)\, giving voice to poetic texts that enrich the concert experience.\nThis event is part of the commitment of the Nino Díaz Foundation and the Arrecife Town Hall to bring music\, poetry and contemporary art to all citizens\, promoting quality cultural initiatives and free access such as the Arrecife Sea and Music Cycle. DESCRIPTION:In June we continue to make music resonate in Arrecife with the II Ciclo de Conciertos de Proximidad\, a project that takes chamber music to the neighbourhoods\, creating meeting places where culture is shared and enjoyed in community. The Nino Díaz Foundation promotes this project with the firm intention of establishing closer links between the public and the artists\, making each concert an accessible\, participatory and emotional experience. In this edition\, we have an extraordinary musician: Ángel Luis Quintana (cello). He is currently a soloist with the Orquesta Nacional de España\, the Orquesta de Cámara de Canarias and guest professor at the Rotterdam Conservatory. He has performed on international stages and has collaborated with renowned ensembles\, marking an exceptional career. A repertoire specially selected for this opportunity will be played by the magnificent cellist and his unique instrument\, a J. Guadagnini “Il Soldato” from the year 1800\, on loan from the Columbus Foundation. In addition\, the concert will feature the magic of José Carlos Campos\, whose narration will guide us on a sonorous journey full of stories that will envelop the evening in a warm and evocative atmosphere. DESCRIPTION:Proximity Concert | Friday\, April 11 19:00 pm \nArrecife is once again filled with music with the second cycle of family concerts\, an initiative that brings the magic of music to the different neighborhoods of the municipality. The Nino Díaz Foundation promotes this project with the aim of creating meeting places where everyone can enjoy live chamber music\, in a way close to the musicians\, instruments and musical language. \nOn this occasion we invite you to enjoy Lanzarote Sax Quartet\, an ensemble with more than 20 years of experience that unites teacher and students in the same mission: to disseminate and promote chamber music and culture. Integrated by: Salvador Santana Luján (soprano saxophone)\, Giovani Noda Niz (alto saxophone)\, Félix Rollán Díaz (tenor saxophone) and Javier Luzardo Pastoriza (baritone saxophone). \nIn addition\, we will have the exciting narrations of Saray Castro\, who will guide the audience through the stories and sounds of each piece performed\, and with the text and direction of José Carlos Campos. \nThe evening’s repertoire will include leading figures in classical and contemporary music such as Ferenc Farkas\, who was a Hungarian composer known for his works of music for band and orchestra.  Travelling to another continent we will have Lino Florenzo with a focus on Latin American music and Arturo Márquez\, a Mexican composer famous for his works that combine elements of folklore.  Returning to the old continent\, the music of Pedro Iturralde (Spanish musician and composer) takes us to experience the fusion of flamenco and jazz. DESCRIPTION:Juan Manuel Díaz Rivero\, violin \nBorn in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria\, he began his violin studies at the age of 7 at the Academy of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria with Mikhail Vostokov. He has expanded his violinistic and chamber music knowledge with: Anna Baget\, Enrique Palomares\, Alberto Rosado\, José Ramón Méndez\, Amayak Dourgarian\, Rainer Sonne\, Benjamin Schmid\, Boris Belkin\, Mariana Sirvu\, Oyvind Bjora\, Klaidi Sahatci\, Michail Gieler\, among others. \nIn 2009\, he was part of the Francisco Guerrero String Quartet\, with which he won the First Prize in the Chamber Music Competition Santa María de Guía. \nCurrently\, he is a regular collaborator with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra\, Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra. Ch Lardea\, and in 1989 he graduated in the class of prof. Mr. Deplus by winning the Premier prix for clarinet. \nHe is the recipient of scholarships from the Ivo Pogorelić Foundation in 1986\, Nadia and Lily Boulanger in 1987\, and the Ministry of Culture of the French Government in 1988. During his studies in Zagreb\, he was awarded prizes and recognitions: the Darko Lukić Award of the Croatian Association of Music Artists\, the Music Critic Award of the newspaper Vjesnik\, the University of the City Award \nZagreb\, Dragan Gurtl Music Academy Award\, SKOJ Seven Secretaries Award\, Croatian Music Institute Award. During his time in Salamanca\, he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of esteemed teachers Costas Cotsiolis and Ricardo Gallen\, the former in Athens for a year and the latter with classes wherever they could meet around the world. \nSubsequently\, he was admitted to the Mozarteum University in Salzburg\, where he completed postgraduate studies in 2006 under the mentorship of Marco Tamayo and Eliot Fisk. As part of his classical music education\, he received masterclasses from musicians like David Russell\, Joaquin Clerk\, Zoran Dukic\, and Pavel Steidi\, among others. \nDiego is also a composer and arranger. SUMMARY:MSM String Quartet
DESCRIPTION:MSM String Quartet is made up of graduates of the Maastricht Conservatory of Music. At its inception in 2016\, MSM (Maastricht Society of Music) was created as an association of students of the conservatory\, with the aim of promoting musical career opportunities for its members\, having performed more than 500 concerts throughout Europe to date.\nIn 2018 the group is established as a string quartet to focus on its development as a consolidated ensemble\, having received training from renowned musicians\, some of them members of internationally renowned ensembles such as Glinka Quartet\, Hagen Quartet or Cuarteto Casals\, among others.\nIn 2019\, the ensemble has been awarded a grant for the creation of social and cultural events in Maastricht\, aimed at programming classical music concerts for local audiences.\nIn 2022\, MSM String Quartet wins the second prize “Grand Prix du Public” at the Maastricht Awards of Music. \n\nPROGRAMME \nF.
