SUMMARY:Atlantic Saxophone Quartet
DESCRIPTION:The Cuarteto de saxofones Atlántico is backed by a successful career that has made it a benchmark for chamber music in the Canary Islands. \nThis chamber group\, formed by Jorge Betancor (soprano saxophone)\, Jonás Quesada (alto saxophone)\, Salvador Santana (tenor saxophone) and Sergio Yánez (baritone saxophone)\, has established itself as one of the leading groups of its kind in the Canary Islands\, as shown by its many performances throughout the Canary Islands and the Spanish mainland. The quartet has also developed an important pedagogical work with the celebration of school concerts\, conferences and courses with the aim of making the saxophone and its sounds known\, highlighting the unpublished “Viaje a San Borondón” with music created by the Canarian composer Ernesto Mateo. In 2003\, he won 2nd Prize in the Cajacanarias Chamber Music Competition held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. In May 2006 he was also awarded 2nd Prize in the UFAM (Union Française des Artistes Musicales) competition. \nOther prizes: \n1st Prize in the Mirabent i Magrans Chamber Music Competition\, held in Sitges (2006). \nSemi-finalist in the City of Lucena Chamber Music Competition (Cordoba) 2006. \n2nd Prize at the Cajacanarias Regional Chamber Music Competition 2007 (Tenerife). \nHis repertoire covers a wide range of styles\, from adaptations of baroque and classical music to contemporary music or works reminiscent of jazz. \nIt has also premiered an important number of works composed expressly for the group by prestigious Canarian composers\, such as Juan Manuel Ruiz\, Juan Manuel Marrero\, Ernesto Mateo\, Nino Díaz or Eliseo Alemán among others\, contributing to the development and diffusion of contemporary music creation in the Canary Islands. \n\nPROGRAMME \nOverture de concerto. DESCRIPTION:Gustavo Díaz-Jerez ist einer der führenden Vertreter der musikalischen Performance und Kreation in Spanien. Als Pianist ist er in den meisten spanischen Konzertsälen und in vielen der wichtigsten Konzertsäle der Welt aufgetreten (Carnegie Hall und Alice Tully Hall in New York\, Musikverein in Wien\, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam\, Royal Festival Hall in London\, usw.).  Als Solist trat er mit den meisten großen spanischen Orchestern und bedeutenden ausländischen Ensembles (Budapest Festival Orchestra\, Turiner Symphonieorchester\, Berliner Symphoniker usw.) unter der Leitung von Dirigenten wie Ivan Fischer\, Adrian Leaper\, Lü Jia\, Víctor Pablo Pérez u. a. auf.  Er trat auch bei wichtigen Festivals wie dem Festival de Música de Canarias\, Quincena Musical Donostiarra\, Festival de Granada\, La Roque de Anthéron usw. auf. \nAls herausragender Interpret spanischer Musik wurde er 2010 mit der Albéniz-Medaille ausgezeichnet\, eine Auszeichnung\, die auch Alicia de Larrocha für seine Aufnahmen und Sendungen von Iberia erhielt. Zu seiner umfangreichen Diskographie gehört auch die Aufnahme des gesamten Klavierwerks von Manuel de Falla (SEDEM) und der Klaviermusik von Teobaldo Power (RALS).  Für das Label Orpheus hat er Albéniz’ Iberia zum ersten Mal in High Definition Video aufgenommen.   Außerdem hat er\, ebenfalls für das Label Orpheus\, eine CD mit eigenen Werken für Viola d’amore und Klavier zusammen mit dem Bratschisten Sviatoslav Belonogov aufgenommen.  2018 veröffentlichte er eine monografische CD mit seinen eigenen Klavierwerken\, Metaludios für Klavier\, beim Label IBS Classical.  Sein symphonischer Zyklus Maghek\, eine Sammlung von sieben Orchesterwerken\, die von den Kanarischen Inseln inspiriert sind\, wurde vom Royal Scottish National Orchestra und Maestro Eduardo Portal auf einer Doppel-CD aufgenommen\, die bei Signum Records erschienen ist. \nAls Komponist wurden seine Werke von renommierten Interpreten und Ensembles in Spanien und im Ausland uraufgeführt. Im Jahr 2011 wurde sein Orchesterwerk Ymarxa\, ein Auftragswerk des XXVII Festival de Música de Canarias\, vom Royal Philharmonic Orchestra unter der Leitung von Charles Dutoit uraufgeführt. Santa Cecilia de Cullera and continued them at the Higher Conservatories of Valencia and Tenerife\, obtaining the Honours Prizes in Clarinet (Elementary\, Professional and End of Degree) and in Chamber Music (Professional and End of Degree). Subsequently\, he furthered his clarinet and chamber music studies in Spain\, France\, Germany and Austria\, with maestros Alois Brandhofer\, Alfred Prinz\, Karl Leister\, Bertram Egger\, Eric Hoeprich and Thomas Friedli among others. \nJavier is internationally recognised as one of the most outstanding clarinettists today\, both for the dissemination of the piccolo clarinet as a solo instrument and for the research and development devoted to this instrument. He has performed concerts as a clarinet and requinto soloist in Spain\, France\, Austria\, Italy\, Poland\, Portugal\, Germany\, Slovenia\, Belgium\, Brazil\, Uruguay and the USA\, premiering works that have enriched the scarce existing repertoire for this small instrument. This has allowed him to work with important composers such as Martínez Gallego\, Saul Gómez Soler\, Jose Manuel Encinoso\, Alexander Mullenbach\, Simon Milton\, Jose Manuel Fernández\, Laura Vega\, David Menent\, Milena Perisic and Nino Díaz among others. She has given concerts in Japan (Sapporo\, Kawasaki and Tokyo\, including a Masterclass on Spanish music)\, in the Auditorium of Tenerife\, in the University of Mexico DF (U.N.A.M) and was co-repetitive pianist in the world premiere of the English version of “Henry Clifford” by Isaac Albéniz in the Canary Islands Music Festival; in “El Moro de la Patera” by Lothar Siemens as well as in the Zarzuela “Adiós a la Bohemia”. He has been piano accompanist in different productions of the Opera Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria\, in the Regional Singing Prize María Orán of CajaCanarias and also in the singing course of the Mapfre Foundation with the baritone Manuel Garrido.  Pianist at the International Clarinet Meetings held in Tenerife. \nShe began her musical studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Tenerife with C. Hernández and J. With a scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs\, she continued her studies at the Musikhochschule in Vienna. DESCRIPTION:Born in Teror (Gran Canaria)\, where she began her clarinet studies in the academy of the Banda Municipal de Música with Eusebio Bravo\, continuing them in the Academy of the OFGC\, with Miguel A. Rodríguez and Radovan Cavallin\, the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas\, with Antonio Carmona\, the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias\, with Radovan Cavallin\, the Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco – Musikene\, with José Luis Estellés\, Antony Pay\, Carlos Gil\, César Martín\, Carmelo Molina and Henri Bok\, and at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany)\, with W. Meyer\, Frank Nebl and Leonie Gerlach. She holds a degree in Music and has several Masters in Performance\, Chamber Music and Music Therapy\, as well as training in Alexander Technique and various courses in pedagogy and music education. She has performed concerts in Europe\, the United States and Latin America. Laura Sánchez has been a founding member of the Ensemble Canaires\, the Trio Caliesa and Con Fuoco Quinttet. She also collaborates regularly with the International Bach Festival and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Las Palmas\, as well as with other musical institutions in the Canary Islands. Committed to her homeland and the dissemination of culture\, she actively participates in the creation of Canarian music\, premiering and recording works by contemporary composers such as Laura Vega\, Daniel Roca\, Ernesto Mateo\, Lothar Siemens and Nino Díaz. Laura Sánchez develops an intense work as a teacher\, having taught in several schools in Gran Canaria. Since 2009 she has been teaching clarinet at the Escuela Municipal de Música Candidito de Teror\, where she has been a member of the board for several years\, and is director of the clarinet ensemble “ClariKids”. She also teaches at the Gran Canaria International Clarinet Festival and at the summer course of the Asociación Músico-Educativa Inegale. She is currently clarinet soloist\, requinto and bass clarinet of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria and teacher of the EMM Candidito Teror. \nRADOVAN CAVALLIN \nHe was born in Zagreb\, Croatia\, in 1969. At the age of 13 he entered the Academy of Music at the University of Zagreb\, becoming the youngest student ever admitted. DESCRIPTION:PACO DÍAZ \nBorn in Santa Cruz de Tenerife where he began his musical studies in percussion and piano. He continued his percussion studies in Seville\, with Professor Pedro Vicedo. Graduated in Music\, specialising in percussion at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and graduated with a soloist’s diploma (Uitvoerend Musicus) from the Conservato-rium van Amsterdam\, Cum Laude. Invited by the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) to study under the direction of Michael Udow. Diploma of Advanced Studies awarded by the Department of Art History of the University of La Laguna (Escenarios Abiertos). Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude\, awarded by the Institute of Educational Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid. As a solo percussionist he has performed in numerous cities such as Michigan\, Pennsylvania\, Washington D.C.\, Anapolis\, Germany\, Madrid\, Valencia\, Spain. Anapolis\, Germany\, Madrid\, Valencia\, Havana\, Mexico\, Peru\, Argentina\, Brazil and many more. As an orchestral musician he has belonged to and collaborated with different national and international orchestral ensembles\, such as the National Orchestra of Spain\, London Philharmonic\, among others. He has taught in different national and international courses. His commitment to contemporary music has led him to commission and premiere several works for solo percussion\, ensemble\, symphony orchestra and Big Band. He is sponsored by the drum stick manufacturers “Innovative Percussion” and “Schlagkraft” as well as the international instrument brand “Adams Percussion Instruments”. Since 2010 he has been the director of the Festival de Música Contemporánea de Tenerife\, in which internationally renowned percussion artists have participated. He is currently solo timpanist of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and percussion teacher at the Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands. \nVERÓNICA CAGIGAO \nArtist Adams Instruments\, Innovative Percussion and Southern Percussion ambassador in Spain. She combines her work as an international performer with her work as a teacher in conservatories in Spain since 2013. She currently teaches at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Tenerife and from 2013 to 2019 she was part of the percussion chair at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón. \nAs a soloist she has participated in international venues and festivals in various countries such as Spain\, Portugal and Japan. He has also taken part in online festivals such as Tamborimba 2021 and the Online Mallet Festival organised by Theodor Milkov in 2020. It is worth mentioning her participation as a soloist with Keiko Abe performing the double concert for two marimbas and orchestra\, Wave Impressions II\, with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife within the Festival de Música Contemporánea de Tenerife FMUC 2016. \nBorn in A Coruña\, she moved to Santa Cruz de Tenerife where she finished her higher studies in percussion at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias under the direction of Juan Francisco Díaz Martín in 2010\, obtaining a distinction. He then continued his studies in Belgium at the Luca School of Arts with Professor Ludwig Albert and in 2014 he completed his training at this university with two Masters in marimba and a Masters in chamber music\, obtaining the highest marks. In 2016 he studied marimba specialization in Tokyo at the Toho School of Music with the prestigious marimba player Keiko Abe. She has completed her training by receiving master classes from percussionists such as N.J. Zivkovic\, V. Mendoza\, N. Zeltsman\, E. Sejourne\, N. Woud\, J. Putsjens\, etc. \nShe has been awarded in several international competitions: Giornatte de la Percussione (Italy\, 2009)\, Marimba Universal Competition and Chamber Music (Belgium\, 2011)\, Premios María Orán 2013 and Premio Injuve de la Creación Joven 2011 (with Tak Nara Percussion Group). \nHe has been a member of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España and from 2007 to the present collaborates with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife. In the chamber music field\, since 2008 he has been a founding member of Tak-Nara Percussion Group with which he has participated in festivals and concert halls in numerous cities in Spain and other countries such as Italy\, Slovenia\, Germany\, Serbia\, Belgium\, USA\, Colombia\, Portugal\, etc. He has participated in Percussion Festival Ksilodrum Slovenia\, Festival Perkutafest\, Festival Internacional de Percusión Valencia\, Festival de Música Contemporánea de Tenerife\, Festival Internacional de Música de Canarias\, Percussion Arts Society International Convention Pasic 2013 Indianapolis (USA)\, IPEW 2014 Croatia\, etc. She is also a founding member of the ensemble T-Percussion. \nAt a pedagogical level\, Verónica Cagigao inaugurates Marimba Online in 2019\, a virtual space specialised in marimba and with which she has trained more than a hundred students from all over the world during the last years. SUMMARY:ALBANY TRIO | Violin\, Cello and Piano
DESCRIPTION:The Albany Trio is a diverse and innovative British ensemble whose repertoire focuses primarily on works by women composers\, both current and historical. \nFounded in 2010\, the Trio gave their first lunchtime concert on BBC Radio 3 live on International Women’s Day\, and more recently performed on In Tune in March 2020. The ensemble was selected as Park Lane Group Young Artists and are also members of the Concordia Foundation. In 2014\, the trio was awarded the Richard Carne Junior Fellowship at the Royal College of Music\, where they curated the inaugural Women in Music festival\, which sold out and was featured in The Telegraph. \nThe trio was awarded the Gwyneth George Prize by the Piano Trio Society and was a finalist in the St-Martin-in-the-Fields International Chamber Music Competition. Versatile and wide-ranging\, the trio is an experienced workshop animator\, representing Live Music Now and Chamber Music 2000. The ensemble has received scholarships to attend the Prussia Cove International Musicians’ Seminar\, Pro Corda and the Dartington International Summer School\, as well as studying new works during a winter residency at the Banff Centre in Canada. \nCommitted to bringing works by women composers to new audiences\, Albany regularly collaborates with contemporary composers. They commissioned their fourth trio\, a new work entitled The Orchid and its Hunters by Judith Bingham\, which was premiered live on BBC Radio 3. Their most recent premiere was the piano trio The Art of Precious Scars by Emma-Ruth Richard\, which was performed at Stoller Hall. They have previously premiered works by Charlotte Bray\, Judith Weir and Josephine Stephenson\, with more commissions planned for the future.

DESCRIPTION:Rigoletto es una ópera en tres actos con música de Giuseppe Verdi (Bussetto\, 1813 – Milán\, 1901) y libreto en italiano de Francesco Maria Piave\, basado en la obra teatral Le Roi s’amuse (El rey se divierte) de Víctor Hugo. \nSe trata de un drama de pasión\, engaño\, amor filial y venganza que tiene como protagonista a Rigoletto\, el bufón jorobado de la corte del Ducado de Mantua. \nAntes de su estreno la ópera tuvo grandes problemas con la censura por considerarla como inmoral y obscena. La obra de Víctor Hugo representaba a un rey (Francisco I de Francia) como un seductor cínico e inmoral\, algo que resultaba inaceptable en la Europa de la Restauración posterior a las guerras napoleónicas. El propio autor había tenido problemas con la censura en Francia\, que había prohibido producciones de esta obra después de su primera representación casi veinte años antes. Tras un tira y afloja entre los censores y el compositor\, y gracias a la diplomacia de los administradores del teatro se pusieron de acuerdo con Verdi y el libretista para que se realizaran modificaciones manteniendo lo fundamental. Se cambiaron nombres de personajes y lugares del emplazamiento de la obra de manera que no se podía ofender a nadie y otras cosas menores conservando el núcleo del drama. \nEl estreno tuvo lugar el 11 de marzo de 1851 en el Teatro La Fenice de Venecia obteniendo gran éxito popular. Fue un triunfo completo\, especialmente la escena dramática\, y el aria “La donna è mobile” se cantaba por las calles al día siguiente. \nEn Buenos Aires se estrenó en junio de 1855 en el Teatro Argentino. Llegó al antiguo Teatro Colón en 1857 y al nuevo edificio en su temporada inaugural de 1908. La noche del 29 de mayo de 1910 se representó simultáneamente en tres teatros: Colón\, de la Ópera y Coliseo. \nRigoletto forma junto con Il trovatore y La traviata (ambas de 1853)\, la trilogía popular operística que compuso Verdi a mediados de su carrera\, se ha convertido en un hito del repertorio operístico estándar y es una de las óperas más interpretadas mundialmente. \nARGUMENTO \nLa acción se desarrolla en Mantua (Italia)\, durante el siglo XVI. \nACTO I\nCuadro primero: Salón en el palacio ducal \nSe alza el telón y la escena se sitúa en un salón\, en el palacio del duque de Mantua\, donde se está celebrando una fiesta. El duque canta a una vida de placer con tantas mujeres como sea posible (Questa o quella – “Esta mujer o aquella”). Se vanagloria de su nueva aventura de conquista hacia una desconocida joven del pueblo\, a la que ha visto en la iglesia\, pero él también desea seducir a la condesa de Ceprano\, a la vista de su marido. Rigoletto\, el bufón jorobado del duque\, se burla de los maridos de las damas a las que el duque está prestando atención\, y aconseja al duque que se libre de ellos aprisionándolos o matándolos. Marullo comunica a los cortesanos que el bufón Rigoletto oculta a una “amante”\, y los nobles no se lo creen. Como casi toda la corte ha sido víctima de las burlas de Rigoletto\, todos quieren devolverle las ignominias. Posteriormente\, Rigoletto se burla del conde Monterone\, otro a quien el Duque ha insultado a través de la deshonra a su hija y que entra en escena reclamando venganza. El Duque manda arrestarlo. Monterone es arrestado mientras proclama la famosa maledizione que traerá la perdición a Rigoletto. La maldición aterroriza a Rigoletto. \nCuadro segundo: En los suburbios\, frente a la casa de Rigoletto. \nRigoletto vuelve a casa preocupado por la maldición. Se le acerca un extraño\, Sparafucile\, un asesino profesional que ofrece sus servicios a Rigoletto. Rigoletto contempla las similitudes entre ellos dos (Pari siamo! – “¡Somos parecidos!”); Sparafucile mata a los hombres con su espada\, y Rigoletto usa “una lengua de malicia” para apuñalar a sus víctimas. Entra en la casa y allí encuentra a Gilda\, su hija (a quien los cortesanos habían tomado como su amante). Gilda vive escondida y resguardada por su padre. Se saludan con afecto en el dúo Figlia!\, Mio padre! – “¡Hija!” “¡Padre mío!”\, que muestra la relación entre ambos: Rigoletto es un padre cariñoso y temeroso de perder a su hija; Gilda es una niña ansiosa de conocimiento\, aunque respeta mucho a su padre. Rigoletto ha estado ocultando a su hija del duque y el resto de la ciudad\, y ella no conoce la ocupación de su padre. Puesto que él la ha prohibido aparecer en público\, ella no ha estado más que en casa y en la iglesia y no conoce ni el nombre de su padre. Rigoletto insiste en que Gilda no salga más que a misa y que la acompañe su doncella\, Giovanna. \nCuando Rigoletto se ha ido\, el duque aparece y\, escondido\, se entera de que Gilda es en realidad la hija de Rigoletto y que se siente culpable por no haberle hablado a su padre del joven al que ha conocido en la iglesia\, pero que ella lo amará todavía más si fuera un estudiante y pobre. Tras sobornar a Giovanna\, el duque logra entrar en el jardín de la casa de Rigoletto y le declara su amor. El duque miente a Gilda sobre su identidad diciendo que es un estudiante (È il sol dell’anima – “El amor es el sol del alma”). Cuando ella le pregunta su nombre\, él dubitativo se llama a sí mismo Gualtier Maldé. Afuera se oyen las voces de Ceprano y Borsa que planean el rapto de la supuesta amante de Rigoletto y Gilda teme que sea su padre de vuelta. Echa al duque después de intercambiar rápidamente votos de amor (Addio\, addio – “Adiós\, adiós”). El duque se marcha y Gilda se queda sola meditando por su amor por el duque\, a quien cree un estudiante (Gualtier Maldè! … Caro nome – “Querido nombre”). \nMás tarde\, en la oscuridad de la noche los hostiles cortesanos se encuentran con Rigoletto en la parte de afuera de la tapia del jardín. Creen que Gilda es la amante de Rigoletto\, se preparan para raptar a la indefensa muchacha. Convencen a Rigoletto de que están preparando el rapto de la esposa de Ceprano\, le tapan los ojos y lo usan para ayudarlos con el rapto. Están todos enmascarados y Rigoletto ayuda\, sin percatarse que está ayudando a raptar a su propia hija Gilda. Cuando Rigoletto se da cuenta ya es demasiado tarde. Lleno de angustia\, se derrumba\, recordando «Ah\, la maledizione!». \nACTO II\nEl palacio del duque \nEl duque está preocupado porque Gilda ha desaparecido (Ella mi fu rapita! – “¡Me la han robado!” y Parmi vedar le lacrime – “Me parece ver las lágrimas”). Entran los cortesanos y ofrecen al duque la supuesta amante de Rigoletto. El duque se da cuenta de que se trata de Gilda y va en su busca (Possente amor mi chiama – “El poderoso amor me llama”). Encantados por la extraña excitación del duque\, los cortesanos ahora se divierten a costa de Rigoletto\, quien entra cantando. Intenta descubrir dónde está Gilda pretendiendo que no le importa\, pues lo que más teme es que haya caído en manos del duque. Finalmente\, admite que de hecho está buscando a su hija y pide a los cortesanos que se la devuelvan; los cortesanos la niegan y el bufón encolerizado y desesperado dirige su Cortigiani\, vil razza dannata – Raza maldita de cortesanos”. Los hombres golpean a Rigoletto después de intentar entrar en la habitación donde retienen a Gilda. Entra en escena Gilda quien ruega a su padre que despida a toda esa gente. Los hombres se marchan de la habitación creyendo que Rigoletto se ha vuelto loco. Gilda descubre a su padre lo que le viene pasando desde hace algún tiempo: que se ha enamorado de un joven a quien veía todos los domingos en la iglesia\, que la ha cortejado diciéndole que era un pobre estudiante (Tutte le feste al tempio – “Todos los días festivos”)\, y que al ser raptada ha descubierto que en realidad se trataba del duque. Rigoletto planea vengarse del duque\, mientras su hija pide que le perdone (dúo: Sì! Vendetta\, tremenda vendetta! – “¡Sí! ¡Venganza\, terrible venganza!”). \nACTO III\nUna calle afuera de la casa de Sparafucile \nA orillas de un río\, se ve parte de la casa de Sparafucile\, con dos habitaciones abiertas para que el público lo vea. Es de noche. Rigoletto ha encargado a Sparafucile asesinar al duque\, pero antes debe desengañar a Gilda mostrando su comportamiento licencioso. Rigoletto y Gilda\, que aún ama al duque\, llegan al exterior. Se puede oír la voz del duque cantando la famosa aria La donna è mobile\, hablando de la infidelidad y la naturaleza voluble de las mujeres. Rigoletto hace que Gilda se dé cuenta de que es el duque quien está en casa del asesino y que intenta seducir a la hermana de Sparafucile\, Maddalena (Bella figlia dell’amore – “Hermosa hija del amor”). Entra en escena Maddalena\, hermana y cómplice de Sparafucile\, quien coquetea con el duque y éste sucumbe a sus encantos fácilmente. Rigoletto llega a un acuerdo con el asesino\, que está dispuesto a matar a su huésped por dinero\, y le ofrece 20 escudos por matar al duque. Rigoletto ordena a Gilda que se vaya a casa\, coja dinero y vestida de hombre huya hacia Verona y afirma que él planea seguirla más tarde. El asesino y el bufón deciden que tras su muerte\, el cuerpo del duque será puesto en un saco y arrojado al río. \nCuando cae la noche\, se desencadena una tormenta y el duque decide pasar la noche en la posada. Sparafucile le asigna alojamiento en la planta baja. \nGilda\, que aún ama al duque a pesar de saber que es desleal\, regresa vestida de hombre. Oye a Maddalena intentando convencer a su hermano de que no lo asesine a él\, sino al bufón. Sparafucile no puede asesinar a un cliente\, amén de mostrar su preocupación por los diez escudos que aún le debe Rigoletto por terminar con el encargo\, pero promete cambiarlo por el primer hombre que se presente en la taberna\, si esto ocurre antes de la medianoche. Gilda decide sacrificarse para salvar al hombre del que se ha enamorado. Entra en la taberna pidiendo asilo\, haciéndose pasar por un mendigo. De inmediato\, Sparafucile la alcanza con su puñal\, cae herida mortalmente. \nA media noche\, acaba la tormenta y Rigoletto entra en escena con el dinero. Sparafucile le entrega el saco con el supuesto cuerpo del duque y se regocija en su triunfo. Cuando se dispone a arrojarlo al río\, con piedras para que se hunda\, oye la voz del duque desde el interior de la posada La donna è mobile. Horrorizado\, abre el saco y\, para su desesperación\, descubre a su hija agonizante. Por un momento\, ella revive y está contenta de morir en lugar de su amado (V’ho ingannato – “Padre\, te he engañado”). Ella muere en sus brazos. La escena termina con el lamento desgarrador de Rigoletto en que recuerda la maledizione de Monterone.

DESCRIPTION:PIANTAOS is a musical performance by ÍNDIGO DÚO & MARÍA JOSÉ TORRES\, conceived as a tribute to the great Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla – the great renovator of tango – who\, on 11 March 2021\, would have turned 100 years old\, and whose work is still as relevant as the first day. It is not in vain that Piazzolla once said that he had an illusion\, “that his work would be heard in 2020\, and in 3001 as well”. \nThe musical selection is basically made up of the Argentine maestro’s most recognisable repertoire\, including such well-known tangos as Adiós Nonino\, Balada para un loco and Vuelvo al sur\, to name but a few. The show will also include the instrumental piece “Tango Suite”\, by Piazzolla himself\, and two new compositions by Leandro Ariel Martin and Víctor Landeira\, world premieres. Vibrant rhythms alongside more leisurely ones\, with the constant presence of Buenos Aires\, at times almost as just another character and at other times as an urban theatre in which diverse beings from the outskirts of the city coexist. \nRaised in New York\, Astor Piazzolla returned to Argentina as a young man with a bandoneon his father had given him and with his sights set on transforming the traditional popular tango. The influence of classical music and his taste for jazz and other contemporary forms such as rock\, as well as the knowledge acquired during his stays in France and Italy\, together with his time in the USA\, brought him closer to a modern tango\, rich in instrumentation and exquisite to the ear. \nPiantaos is\, in short\, a journey through the most significant aspects of Piazzolla’s long musical career. DESCRIPTION:Born on the Crimean peninsula\, she lives in Berlin and Lanzarote. She began her studies in piano and music pedagogy in Simferopol (Crimea) and Lviv (Ukraine)\, which she continued at the University of the Arts (UdK) in Berlin. During his studies he took part in various advanced piano and chamber music courses. He taught piano at the University of Potsdam\, where he also obtained a doctorate on the works of the composer Sergej Rachmaninov. He has published several articles in music publications. He has had an intense concert activity as a solo pianist as well as in collaboration with orchestras and chamber ensembles. He has given concerts in Germany\, Ukraine\, Russia\, Poland\, Belgium\, France\, Sweden\, the Netherlands and Latin America. DESCRIPTION:Spanish Brass es uno de los quintetos de metal más dinámicos y consolidados del panorama musical español. He further developed his training with the pianist Humberto Quagliata\, finishing his studies in Vienna under the direction of Leonid Brumberg. He also receives advice from pianists such as Phillip Dyson\, Andrzej Jasinski and Alicia de Larrocha. He made his international debut at the Feuchtwangen Piano Festival as part of the acclaimed Musikzauber Franken in Germany\, where critics praised his “great talent and strong power of communication”. Since then he has been intensely active as a recitalist\, soloist in orchestras and chamber ensembles\, with debuts in concert halls in Vienna\, Milan\, Paris\, London\, Florence\, Rio de Janeiro\, New York and Miami. He is a regular guest at important festivals throughout Europe. He has made record and radio recordings with Verso\, Sonoris\, RTVE and Hrvatski Croatian Radio among others. His firm commitment to the music of his time is fundamental\, premiering\, recording and performing in concert halls in Europe and America works often dedicated to him by composers such as Tomás Marco\, Jesús Rueda\, Jesús Torres\, David del Puerto\, José Ma Sanchez Verdú\, Mercedes Zavala\, Nuria Núñez and Mauricio Sotelo among others. DESCRIPTION:Lluc Pascual Sarret was born in 1998 in Térmens. He began his musical studies at the age of 9 with the cello and at 13 with the piano. Later he finished the Professional Grade with distinction at the Conservatory of Cervera with the teacher Laia Puig. She is currently studying the Grado Superior at the Maastricht Conservatory with Professor Gustav Rivinius. \nHe has received master classes from professors such as Alexander Chaushian\, Laurentiu Sbarcea\, Matthijs Broersma\, Fernando Arias\, Reinhard Latzko and Gabriel Schwabe. He has been a member and principal cello of the National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia. \nHe has won competitions and prizes where we can highlight the Honourable Mention in the International Pau Casals Award 2018\, 1st Prize in the Cidade de Vigo Competition 2020 and the 2nd BBVA Music Prize for Individual Talent where he also won a prize for the best interpretation of the Suite by Gaspard Gassadó. \nSince November 2020 he has been playing a 1720 Claude Pierray on loan from the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds of Holland. \nShe has played in halls and auditoriums such as El Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona\, Opera Berlioz in Montpellier\, L’Auditori de Barcelona\, Tauberphilarmonie in Weikersheim among others. \nJudit Díaz Alvarez was born in Barcelona in 1994. She began her musical studies at the age of 7 and finished her professional studies at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona. Later she began her higher studies in the Netherlands under the mentor Mirel Iancovici and is now in her last year of her Master’s degree with Professor Gabriel Schwabe. \nDevoted to chamber music\, she has been a member of numerous ensembles and has performed in Spain\, Germany\, the Netherlands\, Belgium\, Poland\, etc. \nShe has also been a member of the German Youth Orchestra J.P.O.N.\, touring all over the country\, and occasionally participates as a guest musician in the professional orchestra in Galicia: Vigo 430. \nHe is a member of the string quartet Wolność\, the contemporary music group Falla Emsemble and the cello duo Popper Duo\, named after David Popper\, a reference in the world and the development of the cello. \nHe currently plays a 2004 Dutch instrument made by Saskia Schouten\, a renowned luthier today\, on loan from the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds. \nPROGRAMME \nD. Highlights its partnership with Liberata Music Group\, addressing the legacy of Baroque Music of La5n America. Collaborated since 2007 with the group Magios Ensemble\, all specializing in Baroque and seYled the islands canarias. Par5cipate in the latest Organ Fes5val edi5on that organized the council of Aragon. Now combines his concert work with the teacher at the Conservatory of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

DESCRIPTION:Miguel Ángel Mesa Díaz nace en Santa Cruz de Tenerife\, en 2008 se gradúa en Musikene (Centro Superior de Música de País Vasco) bajo la tutela de los profesores David Tomas Realp y Javier Aragó\, entre otros. \nHa sido  miembro de la JONDE (Joven Orquesta Nacional de España). Le ha sido otorgada una beca Erasmus  para cursar estudios de Fagot en la Universität der Künste Berlin recibiendo clases del  profesor Eckart Hübner (solista SWR Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden und Freiburg). En 2008 ha entrado a formar parte de la Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchestra\, en las que ha tenido el placer de trabajar con directores como Herbert Blomstedt\, Sir Colins Davis\, etc  en un gran número de auditorios y diversas salas a nivel europeo\, Musikverein (Viena)\, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam)\, Royal Albert Hall\, (Londres)\, Auditorio Nacional de Música (Madrid)\, entre otras. \nDesde 2008 ha desarrollado una gran actividad musical como Freelance en la que ha colaborado con numerosas orquestas como: Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León\, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia\, Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad de Granada\, Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao\, Orquesta Sinfónica Gulbenkian (Portugal)\, Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife\, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla\, Real Filarmonía de Galicia\, Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias\, Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio Televisión Española y Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid. \nEn el período de 2012 – 2013 ocupa el lugar de solista b en la Orquesta Sinfónica de Algarve (Portugal). \nDe 2016 a 2019 ha sido profesor de fagot del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias. \nDesde 2018 hasta la actualidad\, contratado como solista principal de Fagot de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria. \n\nEl pianista canario José María Curbelo lleva a cabo una intensa y experimentada labor como concertista (solista\, dúo de piano\, grupos de cámara y pianista acompañante de cantantes) y profesor de piano. Como intérprete ha realizado giras por España\, Holanda\, Austria\, Italia\, Luxemburgo\, Argentina y Chile y ha sido solista junto a la Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria y la Orquesta del Atlántico bajo las direcciones de I. Ramos e I. Costes. Sus interpretaciones han sido retransmitidas por la televisión y radio española y argentina. Desde 2003 es profesor de piano en el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias y ha impartido clases magistrales y conferencias en España y en diferentes Conservatorios Superiores y Universidades tales como HKU Utrechts Conservatorium (Holanda)\, Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität (Austria)\, Foundation for Iberian Music\, CUNY (Nueva York\, USA)\, Conservatorio di musica de Trieste y Conservatorio de Como (Italia)\, Universidad de Ljubliana (Eslovenia). \nFinalizó sus estudios superiores de piano y música de cámara en el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y posteriormente se trasladó a Barcelona donde recibió clases de Alicia de Larrocha y Carlota Garriga\, especializándose en el repertorio español para piano\, obteniendo los diplomas de “Especialización” y el título de “Máster” de Música Española otorgado por la prestigiosa Academia Marshall. En su formación musical han intervenido además otros renombrados pianistas. \nHa sido premiado en diversos concursos nacionales e internacionales de piano y música de cámara ha realizado diversas grabaciones discográficas para los sellos Columna Música\, Klassicat y SEdeM \nForma un exitoso dúo de piano junto a su hermano gemelo Oliver\, avalados por la crítica y público como uno de los mejores dúos del país\, ofreciendo conciertos en distintos festivales internacionales en países europeos además de América del Sur. DESCRIPTION:FRANCISCO CORUJO\, TENOR \nBorn in Lanzarote\, Francisco Corujo is one of the most promising young Spanish tenors\, winning prizes at international competitions such as the Iris Adami Corradetti or the Francisco Viñas with the second absolute prize and the Placido Domingo prize for best tenor and the prize for best zarzuela singer. He trained in Spain and Italy\, with Célida Alzola and María Orán in the Canary Islands\, Manuel Cid and Tom Krause at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid\, and with Carlo Bergonzi at the Academia Verdiana in Busseto\, his repertoire includes operas such as La Traviata\, Rigoletto\, La Flauta Mágica\, Cosi fan tutte and Romeo and Juliet. SUMMARY:GRUPO ENIGMA
DESCRIPTION:La Orquesta  de Cámara del Auditorio de Zaragoza (“Grupo Enigma”)  dio su concierto de presentación el 21 de noviembre de 1995. Desde aquella fecha\, la OCAZ\, el “Grupo Enigma” se ha venido consolidando como uno de los proyectos posiblemente más originales y distintos de los surgidos en los últimos años en el panorama de la música española. Fue fundada por el maestro Juan José Olives\, director de orquesta y compositor canario\, que fue su director artístico y titular desde los inicios de la orquesta hasta su fallecimiento el pasado mes de diciembre. Olives aportó al grupo su personal impronta y el ideario alrededor del cual Enigma ha crecido y continúa trabajando. \nGracias al auspicio del Auditorio de Zaragoza\, la orquesta ha desarrollado una constante labor centrada principalmente en la interpretación y difusión de la música del siglo XXI y de aquella otra estrictamente contemporánea. \nEn varias ocasiones la OCAZEnigma ha ofrecido obras sinfónico-corales (como “Rosamunda” o la “Misa en mi bemol”\, ambas de Schubert\,  el “Requiem” de Fauré o “El Mesías” de Händel -en la versión de Mozart-)\, sinfonías de Haydn\, Mozart\, Beethoven o Schubert y distintas piezas de Rodrigo\, Wagner\, Britten o Dvorák. \nInvitada a participar en distintos festivales y ciclos\, la orquesta ha visitado\, entre otras ciudades\, Madrid\, Barcelona\, Alicante\, La Coruña\, Lugo\, El Vendrell\, Huesca\, Murcia\, Segovia\, Burgos\, Jaén\, Valencia\, Málaga\,  Torroella de Montgrí\, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria\, Tenerife\, México\, La Habana\, Santo Domingo\, Perpiñán París\, Londres\, Moscú\, Sofía\, Bremen y Dublín. \nEn Zaragoza la orquesta realiza\, desde 1997\, una importante labor didáctica. Los Conciertos Pedagógicos y el Concierto en Familia han venido congregando en torno a la música\, año tras año\, a miles de escolares. \nEn el capítulo de grabaciones la orquesta tiene en su haber un disco enteramente dedicado a Joaquím Homs (destacado como disco excepcional en las revistas “Ritmo” y “Scherzo”)\, un segundo compacto que reúne obras de compositores actuales aragoneses y sendos monográficos dedicados a Angel Oliver y a Luciano Berio. Como formación sinfónica existe un CD con la “Misa en mi bemol” de Schubert. Entre los últimos trabajos se encuentran la grabación de un CD con música de Paul Hindemith. La orquesta ha realizado también grabaciones para RNE-Radio Clásica y Catalunya Ràdio. \n\nAsier Puga – Director de orquesta                                                                \nAsier Puga\, director musical y artístico de Ciklus Ensemble y de la Orquesta de Cámara “Gregorio Solabarrieta”\, se forma como director de orquesta con maestros como Peter Stark\, Robin O’Neill y Howard Williams en el Royal College of Music de Londres\, consiguiendo las más altas calificaciones (Distinction). Previamente estudia con Arturo Tamayo\, Manel Valdivieso y Enrique García Asensio en el Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco (MUSIKENE). Refuerza sus conocimientos acudiendo a masterclasses de maestros como Pierre Boulez (Lucerne Festival Academy)\, Diego Masson (London Sinfonietta Academy)\, o Martin André (RCM)\, entre otros. \nEn el ámbito profesional destacan sus conciertos con la Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi\, Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao\, Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra\, Explore Ensemble\, Orquesta Sinfónica de Burgos\, Liceu XXI (Conservatori Liceu)\, RCM Philharmonic Orchestra\, entre otros. Actuando en festivales y auditorios de renombre como la Auditorio Kursaal\, Palau de la Música de Valencia\, Kings Place (Londres)\, Quincena Musical de San Sebastián\, Fundación Juan March\, Museo Guggenheim\, por citar algunos. \nEn 2016\, Asier fue uno de los tres directores seleccionados para participar en la prestigiosa London Sinfonietta Academy\, donde recibió masterclasses del director francés Diego Masson\, así como de los miembros de la London Sinfonietta. \nDebido a su gran interés por la música contemporánea\, Asier ha dirigido alrededor de 40 estrenos absolutos tanto en España como en Inglaterra\, y ha trabajado con compositores de renombre como Iñaki Estrada\, José Luis Campana\, Mikel Urquiza\, Lisa Illean\, Benjamin Oliver o Cheryl Frances-Hoad. Asier ha escrito diversos artículos sobre música y arte contemporáneo para diferentes publicaciones y revistas digitales. En la actualidad\, escribe regularmente en Sonograma Magazine\, donde tiene una sección titulada “Noves geometries“.

DESCRIPTION:MASTERS OF MINIMALISM \nThe term “minimalism” encompasses music that\, although it usually shares certain characteristics\, such as a constant pulse and a slow harmonic rhythm\, presents a surprising variety according to each composer’s personal vision. Thus\, “Masters of Minimalism” is a concert that aims to offer a small sample of this influential musical trend\, emphasizing the great stylistic diversity that we can find within it. \nThe programme arises from the writing of the forthcoming book “The Modern Piano”\, by the composer Ernesto Mateo\, in which the characteristics of the music of authors such as Yann Tiersen\, Ludovico Einaudi or Wim Mertens are reviewed\, that is\, instrumental music with classical roots with a strong influence of minimalism and elements of pop-rock. For this concert\, the instrumental staff has been expanded by adding two violins and a flute.
